It's time to stop asking women why they're still single. We've all heard it before - that question lingering in the air after a woman has revealed her relationship status. And we've all cringed when someone has actually asked us that question directly.
The answer, of course, is rather complex. But often times, it seems as if people are looking for a single reason or answer to explain why so many women are unattached.
As single women, we're apparently miserable, we're over-educated and under-employed, and we're waiting for Mr. Right to come along (even though we've been waiting forever).
Enough is enough. We're not going to take it anymore.
We're done with being asked to defend our relationship status or explain why we don't have a boyfriend. We're done with being pitied or patronised.
It's time to stop asking women why they're still single and accepting that not all women want the same things, that not all women will accept the bare minimum just to be in a relationship, and that women aren't enjoying their life being single anyway!
